Once you reach the state of first Dhyāna heaven, your pulse will stop. If you Zazen like that, pulse won't move. If the pulse of us ordinary people does not move, we will die. But in your state, it is because your Svabhava has reached the first Dhyāna heaven, so the pulses and meridians in your body have stopped and stopped flowing. But this is not death. This can be said to be the Samādhi of entering the first Dhyāna. It may be one hour, two hours, three hours, five hours, or one day, two days, three days, five days, ten days, twenty days, your pulse will not move, but your body will not deteriorate. When we ordinary people die, after seven days, the flesh will smell bad and the body will be broken. But if you can practice hard and reach this state, no matter how many days you have been in samadhi, the body will not break down at all. This is entering the first Dhyān 3 heavens.
