Go to the market to buy meat, what should I do to be appropriate to the Dharma?

Question: Merciful Master, if I am a vegetarian and my family members are not, and we need to buy meat when we go grocery shopping, even if the five kinds of clean flesh, I don't know what to do to be more appropriate to the Dharma?

Master Jing Jie replied:

That is, you are a housewife, and you have to go grocery shopping, this is your responsibility, right? But the other people in your family are not vegetarians, you still have to do the shopping for them, otherwise there will be family problems. You'd better not buy living ones, buy ready-made ones instead, this is your best choice. That is, I have to balance my Tao career and my family, I can't let family revolution happen, but I also have to preserve my Tao career. If you buy the one that has already died, without direct killing, this is a last resort, it's okay, at least we don't commit killing karma.

If you feel guilty, don't we do our homework every day? Give him a pariṇāmanā, so the content of our pariṇāmanā is always: and even to destined beings or creatures who have unintentionally stepped on and killed. Because people who drive sometimes kill beings, even though there is no sinful karma, it is a negative Pratītyasamutpāda after all, so we have to do pariṇāmanā every day.
