In the Saha world, don’t be greedy or obsessed with anything

Lecture by Master Guang-Qin(釋廣欽)

Become a monk and escape from life and death, it is to get rid of all stinginess and greed. We have simple clothes and light food, just to give up greed, eat only to satisfy our hunger, and wear only to protect ourselves from the cold. If you are still greedy for color, sound, fragrance, sleepiness, etc., this is a kind of obsession, and you will fall and born in the catur-yoni (four beings). Only by giving up greed, anger, and ignorance can one's mind be clear, and only then can one be reincarnated in the Western Sukhāvatī when dying.

Cheng-tian Temple is less free and has various restrictions, but it maintains the rules and solemnity of Cheng-tian Temple.

The freedom comfortable honed in asceticism is the true Sukhāvatī state of Svabhava. It is ultimate to be liberated from this and go directly to the West.

"If your heart is at peace, you can be at peace anywhere. If your heart is not at peace, you will not be at peace even in heaven."

If a person has fewer mistakes, his karma can be reduced and his mind can be calm. To become a monk, you must know cause and effect, cherish blessings, and never throw away edible things, otherwise, you will be reincarnated as pigs, dogs, chickens, and ducks in the next life to make up for it.

In this Saha world, no matter what happens, don't be greedy or obsessed with it. Only in this way can there be a way to liberation. When you are dying, go straight to the Sukhāvatī.
