The Buddhist scriptures say that "everything is created by the mind". People who have misunderstood this believe that if there is no mind there will be no cause and no effect, so they are not afraid of "karma" but only of having "mind". I have karma but no mind. What can King Yan do to me? Then feel free to commit evil deeds without any scruples. They don't know that there are two kinds of mindlessness: when you think rationally and put your mind to the extreme, you will naturally enter into the Samadhi of mindlessness, which is true mindlessness.
The other is to create karma with the mind, and then to control the mind, forcing it to be nothing, as if one has achieved the state of being free of mind, but in fact it is intentional. If your heart is there, then there will be karma. King Yan's iron rod will not spare you!
The Buddhist scriptures also say: "If a Bodhisattva who is fully endowed with wisdom falls into the animal realm, he will become the king of animals; if he falls into the hungry ghost realm, he will become the king of hungry ghosts." People who have a wrong understanding believe that they can change their karma with wisdom, so they are not afraid of having karma but only of not having wisdom. I have karma and also wisdom, what can King Yama do to me! They then commit karma without any worries. They don't know that the wisdom mentioned in the Buddhist scriptures is not ordinary worldly wisdom. What's more, can your wisdom be like that of Manjushri Bodhisattva and the Venerable Śāriputra?
Can't be compared with the great Bodhisattvas, if you continue to compare sequentially, can you compare with Sunakshatra and Devadatta?
Sunakshatra was able to learn the sutras and treatises contained in eighteen elephants, and Devadatta had the supernatural powers of an Arhat, but they cannot avoid falling into hell. Besides, can your wisdom surpass that of these two people?
A cup of water cannot extinguish the flames of a cart of firewood, and the light of a firefly cannot dispel the darkness of a valley.
How much karma can be eliminated with your current little wisdom? King Yan's iron rod has not spared you!
