When others care about us, we should accept it regardless of whether it is good or bad. We should use their bad side to reflect on ourselves and not be led astray by them, endure it, and we will be able to analyze the truth of the matter with our six senses, gradually, our wisdom will emerge. If others form a bad relationship with them, we should not be influenced by others and form a bad relationship with them. You must have the ability to distinguish right from wrong and have control of your heart. We need to make many good connections, and make friends with people before we become Buddhas.
If someone wants to harm me, we should think: Maybe it's because I have harmed him in the past, so this is why I am doing this. I cannot make enemies with him again; I want to save him. Everything has cause and effect, every stitch, every thread, every word, all has cause and effect. There will be all kinds of gossip in the temple, which is scary to see. Those who know how to cultivate will think: I will save him when I have cultivated better. Those who do not know how to cultivate will become enemies with him.
You have to know how to listen. You have to listen to the Dharma, not to vulgar words. The former is helpful for liberation, the latter is dispute. Don't still have "appearance", having an "I-appearance", thinking about "you and me" separately is a bad seed.
Only listen to what is right. If you listen to unreasonable things, it will affect others and you will have to bear the consequences.
There is a big difference between being a monk and working in society. In society, people pursue fame and fortune, while we cultivate our body, speech, and mind. Words are like a knife. One wrong word can hurt many people. Too much talk will lead to mistakes. Speak less and chant the Buddha's name more.
From now on, if you are outside and hear others criticizing me, you must not argue with them, because they are criticizing me, not you.
