The Four Heavenly Kings Heaven, the Trāyastriṃśa Heaven, the Yāma Heaven, the Tuṣita Heaven, the Nirmāṇarati Heaven (the "creation of enjoyment" Heaven), and Para-nirmita-vaśa-vartin Heaven. Why are they called the Six Desire Heaven?
Although the devas here are reborn in heavens, they still have lustful hearts and impure thoughts.
The celestial beings in the Four Heavenly Kings Heaven and Trāyastriṃśa Heaven engage in sexual desires in the same way as we human beings. Why the same? They are all corporeal; The devas in the Four Heavenly Kings Heaven also get married. The devas in the Trāyastriṃśa Heaven also get married, and they all have the situation of husband and wife, father and son.
When the devas of the Four Heavenly Kings Heaven give birth to a child, how big will the child be after birth? He is as big as a five-year-old human child. As for Trāyastriṃśa? He is as big as seven years old. Yāma's newborn child is as big as ten years old. When the child is born, he is big as this and sits on the lap of the heavenly being. When he is born, he eats a kind of natural dew. This nectar of heaven is naturally manifested. After eating it, it doesn't take long for him to become as big as an ordinary heavenly being, that is, half a mile in height high. The lifespan is as long as five hundred years. This is the Four Heavenly Kings Heaven.
The lustful behaviors in the Four Heavenly Kings Heaven and Trāyastriṃśa are the same as those of us humans.
The sexual desire between men and women in the Yāma is to shake hands with each other, just like Westerners shaking hands with each other; in this heaven, the sexual behavior of couples only needs to shake hands, and it is considered complete. As for Tuṣita? When men and women engage in lust, they only smile at each other; because the devas in that place do not usually smile. Why not laugh? Because the lust is so light, there is almost no lust. In the heaven of six desires, the higher the level, the lighter the desires.
Why should those of us who practice Taoism in this world have to give up desire and love and have no desire? Just because you have more desires, you will have more ignorance; If your desires are light, your wisdom will increase a little. Desire belongs to the evil world of the five turbidities. What are the so-called "five turbidities"? It is this "desire", which is the most filthy and unclean thing. Therefore, the desires of the Four Heavenly Kings Heaven are the same as those in our human world. And the Trāyastriṃśa are lighter than the Four Heavenly Kings Heaven, the Yāma shake hands with each other, and the Tuṣita smile at each other.
Don't think that laughing is good! We humans think that laughter is a good thing, actually "laughter" is also a function of lust.
So, when you are in the Yāma, heavenly beings are willing to practice and study on their own, and people rarely shake hands with each other, because this handshake is the sexual act between men and women. The men and women in Nirmāṇarati Heaven look at each other familiarly. Familiarity means looking at each other for a longer time, for example, one minute, or five minutes, looking at each other for one or two minutes so familiar.
The men and women in Para-nirmita-vaśa-vartin Heaven just look at each other and that's it. They don't have to look at each other for a long time.
The sexual behavior of men and women in the Six Desire Heaven is like this, because the higher the level, the lighter the desire. If your desires are not light, you will not be born in that heaven; When you are born in that heaven, you won't have many desires anymore. So, this is the sensual pleasure of the Six Heavens of Desire.
