This sutra can also be said to be the real Qi that each of us needs. If you lose this Qi (energy), you will be on the verge of death. It can also be said that this Buddhist sutra is the real air in the void. This is what the Buddhist sutra mean. So, for us humans to study the sutra is to breathe a breath of fresh air. It's like you're feeling stuffy in the house, so go outside to get some fresh air. Buddhist sutras are like fresh air, and none of us humans can live without fresh air. Therefore, this Buddhist sutra is something that no one can leave.
Then you say, "I don't study Buddhist sutras, I don't study Buddhist teachings, so I won't breathe this air!" But you still breathe it anyway. Because the Dharma has not perished, the Dharma remains in the world and this Qi (energy) fills the world. Whether you study or not, you have to absorb this air, because people exchange this air with each other. It's like my breath goes out, or you inhale it into your stomach, and we exchange air with each other.
So, the person I studied Buddha Dharma understands Buddha Dharma, and the aura that I exude is filled with Buddha Dharma. Even if you have not studied Buddha Dharma, you still have to breathe this air, so people cannot sever this interconnected relationship. This sutra also means the same thing. It is like our fresh air, which is also our food - spiritual food.
Therefore, whenever you feel depressed or confused, as soon as you recite the sutra, your depression will be dispelled because the principles in the sutra are very clear. It can open your mind and make it clear and unobstructed, so this sutra is very useful. " Sutra " has various meanings.
