Ordinary people say, "The method of reciting the Buddha's name is for old granny. People with wisdom don't need to learn this method." In fact, this is a wrong view. If you don't recite the Buddha's name, you will just indulge in random thoughts, thinking about this and that, north and south. What is the use of these selfish desires and distracting thoughts? If you can chant the Buddha's name, you can drive away all your delusions. If you chant the Buddha's name for a moment, you will not have any delusional thoughts for that moment; if you chant the Buddha's name all day long, you will not have any delusional thoughts all day long.
What is "wonderful"? If you can stop having such delusions and stop having delusions, this is "wonderful", this is a wonderful method. To cure your delusion, to cure your distraction, to cure your greed, to cure your anger, and to cure your ignorance.
