Lecture by Master Jing Jie

Our life is like playing a movie, it is a scene by scene from junior to elder, there is nothing wrong, and there is nothing wrong about life releasing its Vipāka. But when our mind contacts this image, it is not wrong to grab this image, your sixth consciousness turns the common karma of sentient beings into your own karma, and you use the image yourself, this is also ok. Then after the sixth consciousness grab the images, it begins to distinguish, here, the mistake is not very serious, begins to distinguish: this thing is good or bad, put life into opposition, good and bad are distinguished, prajñapti is established, here, it is not a big problem.

But some images impress you too deeply, it stimulates you too much, so how will it be? Alarm the boss behind the sixth consciousness, it leads the seventh consciousness out, then when the seventh consciousness comes out, it lives on this image, and then this image will live forever in your heart, forming a force to guide your Saṃsāra. That's why after we die, we will reincarnate, because you have too many attached images in your mind misleading you. Delusions with attachment, this is parikalpitah-svabhāva. You had better clear all these landmines in heart before you die.

What is Viparita before dying? This is " Viparita"! You have accumulated too many images of self-attachment and dharma-attachment in your heart, and any image comes out randomly before dying, it's the power of reincarnation, Upādāna, this is a problem point, that is a blind spot. The second, through your Upādāna and distinguish and attachment, turns out a kind of parikalpitah-svabhāva, this is the second.
