"When encountering sentient beings who like to engage in sexual misconduct, preach about the karma and retribution of birds, pigeons and mandarin ducks."

——«Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva Pūrvapraṇidhāna Sūtra»

Suppose you meet someone who enjoys sexual lust. Being with your spouse, a formal couple, is not considered adultery. Rather, it refers to "informal couples" who engage in promiscuous behavior for the sake of temporary happiness. This is wrong. Even if they are officially married couples, it would be best if they could have less such sexual behavior.

Don't think that you can just be casual with your spouse. You must know that this kind of sexual behavior is stupid. The more sex you have, the more stupid you become, and you lose your light. Why do you have light? There is light just because you don't have this kind of sexual behavior, so people have wisdom—this is true wisdom.

Suppose you engage in sexual immorality - abnormal sexual behavior between men and women, which is against the rules. So, when you meet such a person, what karma should you say to him? We should preach about the karma of birds, pigeons and mandarin ducks, saying that they will be reborn as birds in the next life.

Sparrows are "sparrows", and these sparrows are very lewd; pigeons are also the lewdest, and they give birth to a clutch of pigeons in one month.

When most birds have sex, the male is on top and the female is on the bottom. Only pigeons have the female on top. They have the most lustful temperament, so they can produce a nest of pigeons in a month.

As for the mandarin ducks? These mandarin ducks are so emotional and full of emotion. Whether the male and female fall on the ground, they are together; whether they fly in the sky, they are together; they are never separated from each other. Although this kind of bird is said to be free, but still an animal, which is not good.

If a person enjoys sexual immorality, he will be reborn as a bird, dove, or mandarin duck in the next life.
