Patience, Tolerance and Forgiveness / Kshanti

Chapter 15 tells people that the power of patience is the greatest, and it can destroy all impurities, and the understanding is far away.

Another Śramaṇa asked the Buddha. "What has more power": What is the most powerful thing? "What is the clearest": What is the clearest? The wisest?

Buddha answered this question and said:

"If you can endure humiliation, you have great strength; if you cannot endure humiliation, you have no strength. Your ability to endure humiliation is inexhaustible."

Why is it so powerful? Because "it does not harbor evil intentions": it is a kind of good power, there is no evil power in it, it is completely good, it does not harbor evil intentions.

Because you are kind, this power is endless.
